We just finished a two hour hike on the greenbelt in the most remote trails you can find in the city. Entering the hike at the hill of life we traveled down the hill and then turned to the right. The trail follows the ridge line for quite awhile before it winds through a few inlets and meanders back and forth across the creek. We hiked for over a hour without seeing any people! I always love finding complete solitude right in the middle of the city. If you really want a great recharge follow the trail and take a little time at the waterfalls on Barton Creek. Another perfect day on the trail with good company! After the hike we wandered around the city and made our way to Pappasitos to share a great plate of fajitas. After two days of activity my hiking partners Missy and Chloe are crashed out napping upstairs while I update the blog.
We made a stop at Academy to pick up a set of 10lb and 8lb dumbell weights to get the indoor workout area set up and we stopped by REI to pick up extra bike tubes, sunglasses and C02 cartridges for the bikes. All in all day two of adventure kicked off with a great workout and ended with a nice relaxing evening at home reflecting and preparing for tomorrows adventure.
On the list for tomorrow is the added bonus of working around a full day work schedule. During work I will get the opportunity to bike around the Texas School for the Blind campus for 8 hours and then I will leave work and head to see Rochelle Poulson for an hour long massage. Tomorrow's adventures will focus on the relaxing aspect of body, mind and spirit with a massage and some introspection time.
